Mathieu Landry, 20, of St. Anselme and formerly of Memramcook East, is missing and presumed drowned while vacationing in Malaysia.

Mathieu Landry Born June 19, 1973 in Moncton, he graduated from Mathieu Martin in 1991. He studied two years at Université de Moncton. His last employment was at Armour Transport. He was an avid hockey player in the Memramcook Valley. He played the last two years with the Memramcook Valley League. Mathieu was a very likeable person, who was taken from this earth before the prime of his life. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Emery and Claudette (Cormier) Landry of St. Anselme; his paternal grandfather, Onésime Landry of St. Joseph; one sister, Mrs. Gilles LeBlanc (Murielle) of Moncton; four brothers, Louis Landry (Laurette) of Memramcook East, Dr. Michel Landry (Judy) of Moncton, Victor Landry of Campbellton, Gilbert Landry of Bathurst; three nieces, Margo, Kerri and Crystal; three nephews, Rémi, Patrick and Léon.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Dupuis Funeral Home, Monday, February 28, 1994 from 3 to 6 p.m.; then proceed to the St. Anselme Church for a Memorial service at 7 p.m.
